so i got sports illustrated’s mlb09 preview via usps yesterday. royals picked to finish last. not surprising. at least we have new menu items at The K this year, including the $38 24oz. steak-on-a-stick. it wasn’t like i had my hopes up for this season anyway. that’s even after i read that this year’s payroll, just north of $70M, will be the biggest in royals’ history. well, given their recent track record, it should be.

i’m happy to see my boy Jason Giambi back with the oakland a’s. here’s to my athletics making it back to the postseason this year. remember you heard it here first.
my mlb wall calendar image for the month of april is wrigley field which is fitting b/c this is now 100 yrs. since their last title. personally, an a’s-cubs WS would probably make my head explode.
got tickets for 1 week from today - NYY@KC, then again on saturday. no ABod, no problem. you have to respect DJ, what a role model for mlb. i’ll be sporting my powder blue retro kit both days more than likely. it matches the new 16oz. miller lite aluminum pints.
we are at thirty freakin’ hours, people. Go Royals!
the next best thing to skipping class to watch sports from the comfort of one’s own futon has GOT to be getting paid to sit at one’s desk watching ESPN360.com or MLB.tv. thank you, internet inventors, for making work suck just a little bit less than it used to.
